(CBS DETROIT)After winning $2 million in the Michigan Lottery’s Ace of Spades instant game, a 47-year-old Oakland County lady says she intends to resign from her work and take a vacation.
Perry’s Palace, 411 North Perry Street, Pontiac, is where the woman, who wants to be unknown, purchased her ticket.
“I frequently purchase lottery tickets, always with the hope of striking it rich,” the woman stated in a statement. “I was ecstatic and incredulous when I pulled out my Ace of Spades ticket and saw I had won $2 million! I immediately called my mother to share the big news with her.
The woman decided to get her prize in the form of a one-time payment of roughly $1.3 million. She intends to save the remainder of her money, take a vacation, then resign from her position.
“Winning is a huge relief and is going to allow me to quit my job and relax,” the gamer stated.
Since Ace of Spades’ April introduction, players have won over $39 million, according to the Michigan Lottery. There are still over $68 million in prizes up for grabs, including two $2 million top prizes, with rewards ranging from $20 to $2 million.
