Yesterday morning, the Oklahoma City Fire Department (OKCFD) responded to a house fire near NE 63rd St. and Coltrane Rd. in northeast Oklahoma City, as well as an incident near Northwest 63rd Street and College Avenue. In a separate event, the OKCFD was to also promptly respond to a house fire in northwest Oklahoma City. Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy fire emanating from the back of the house, specifically originating in the kitchen. Andrew McCann told

, “All three were able to self-evacuate prior to us arriving.” Despite the rapid response, tragedy struck as one dog was unable to be saved from the fire.

All residents at both locations successfully evacuated without harm. However, one firefighter sustained minor injuries during the northeast Oklahoma City incident.
