One Dead in West Columbus Traffic Incident Pedestrian Struck by Two Vehicles After Exiting Truck

COLUMBUS, Ohio (DDN) – One individual was killed in an automobile collision in West Columbus on Wednesday evening.

Police said the crash happened near the intersection of Fisher Rd. and Westward Ave.

At at 6:21 p.m., the driver of a white tractor-trailer stopped in the left turn lane in front of the Eddie Bauer warehouse, exited the truck, and stepped into the westbound traffic’s left travel lane.

The driver was struck by a white Honda CRV heading west in the left lane. The impact left the driver down in the right lane of westbound traffic, where a maroon Lexus RX350 struck him twice.

At 6:28 p.m., the motorist was pronounced deceased on scene.

There is yet no information about the victim’s identify or what prompted them to exit the vehicle.
