MARION, Ill. (DDN) – On Wednesday morning, state police are investigating a collision involving two vehicles that resulted in the death of one individual in Marion.
According to the Marion Police Department, its dispatch received a report at 7:08 a.m. on January 15 regarding a collision involving two vehicles that occurred close to the intersection of West Main Street and Boswell Road.
Officers arrived at the site in a short amount of time.
The driver of one vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the other vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital.
The Illinois State Police are investigating the collision.
