A Cuyahoga County grand jury has indicted an Orange Village man on multiple charges, including menacing by stalking and ethnic intimidation. Ryan Kellogg, 37, was brought into custody last Monday after being allegedly caught in the act of vandalizing a home with antisemitic graffiti for a second time, FOX8 reported.
According to WKYC, the indictment includes five counts of vandalism and one count of ethnic intimidation. Surveillance footage and police testimony linked Kellogg to the crimes, which involved targeting homes with symbols of Jewish hate. Kellogg’s lawyer, Michael J. Goldberg, has disputed the charges, stating, “The evidence will show that the hateful symbol did not come from Mr. Kellogg.”
The incidents leading to these charges took place between October 13 and October 20. Three residential garage doors were defaced with spray paint on the north side of Orange Village. One of the vandalized doors was marked with a swastika, and in an alleged additional act of intimidation, black paint was poured into a resident’s driveway. Political yard signs were also reported stolen, as detailed by News 5 Cleveland.
Ryan Kellogg had been previously released on a $53,500 bond after his initial arrest and pleas not guilty to the charges against him. “No place in our community,” was a sentiment echoed by local residents and officials in the wake of the incidents, underlying the impact of such targeted vandalism. Kellogg is set to be arraigned at the Cuyahoga County Justice Center on November 19, according to the News 5 Cleveland report.
