While temperatures today remain warmer than average, a cooldown is anticipated starting Friday and leading into the night. Despite the drop, overnight temperatures will fall into a range considered normal for mid-November.

An oncoming cold front is shifting the weather dynamics for Central Florida. According to the weather update, after midnight, isolated light showers may sputter into the Lake and Volusia counties down to the Sanford/Orlando area. Residents should expect a minor temperature dip into the 60s.

Looking ahead, high pressure will retake the reigns, fostering a steady drying and warming trend over the weekend. Winds will gust from the north on Friday, churning up waves and reinforcing the advisory against boating. Mariners in Volusia County will see increased northerly winds following the cold front.
