After her 14-year-old daughter was found dead in their Poinciana home on Wednesday, an Osceola County mother is currently being held. According to WESH, Sheriff Marcos Lopez stated that Kelsey Glover, 35, had been taken into custody on suspicion of violence and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The cause of death is still being investigated, and the deceased was identified as Giselle Glover.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they had to physically restrain Glover and take a hammer away from her, according to comments from the sheriff’s office. According to Lopez, “Witnesses also told deputies that they saw Ms. Glover holding her 14-year-old daughter’s head underwater in the bathtub,” describing the upsetting incident that was observed by a roommate and another youngster who were there. According to ClickOrlando, there was just one known dispute between Kelsey Glover and the father of the children in the home’s history.
Giselle Glover was taken to a hospital after the incident and declared dead there. A thorough homicide investigation has been initiated while the authorities await a report from the medical examiner’s office. “What happened to her is unimaginable, and we are determined to get justice for Giselle,” Sheriff Lopez said, underscoring the seriousness of the case and demonstrating the department’s dedication to determining what caused the young girl’s untimely death, according to WESH.
When reporters asked Glover about the accusations, Glover responded defiantly, “Lying (expletives),” according to a ClickOrlando interview. Sheriff Lopez admitted that Glover has not cooperated and that they are still working to establish what happened before the incident. Glover might face further charges in the future, depending on how the current investigation turns out.
