Oxford Shooting on Christmas Eve Leaves 1 Dead, 2 Injured in Random Attack, Suspect in Custody

On Christmas Eve, there was a shooting in Oxford that the police are referring to as a “random shooting.” Three individuals were shot.

The incident took place on Tuesday evening at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Ray Road, which is located between Lapeer Road and N. Oxford Road, close to Oxford High School.

According to a statement that was published on social media by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, one of the victims of the shooting has passed away, while the other two are now being treated at a hospital.

The suspect was only passing through the neighborhood when he went on a violent spree at various sites, according to the police, who added that the crime appears to be utterly “random.”

At the scene, he was taken into custody. He has been convicted of a felony, according to the police, and the investigation is still underway.
