Parker Man Arrested in Joint Douglas and Arapahoe County Drug and Firearm Bust

A significant bust following an investigation into narcotics by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) IMPACT team, in collaboration with the Arapahoe County Special Investigation Unit (SIU), resulted in the seizure of a plethora of drugs and firearms. According to theDouglas County Sheriff s Office, a 42-year-old male suspect from Parker was arrested in connection with the case.

The combined task force’s efforts stemmed from a late September investigation that began with a routine traffic stop for driving under the influence of drugs, notably fentanyl, this stop prompted further exploration which led authorities to a residence on East Summit Road suspected to be a node in a larger distribution network, where the DCSO Patrol Deputies initially flagged a suspect and subsequently, two tips further confirmed the involvement of that premises in illegal drug activities prompting a joint operation that achieved its culmination on November 14 when executing a search warrant with DCSO SWAT involvement.

A thorough search of the premises resulted in the recovery of dangerous substances including 1,031.7 grams of fentanyl, 12.51 grams of methamphetamine, and 17.25 grams of heroin, combined with a sum of $8,540.19 in silver coins and $2,163 in cash; the search also unearthed weapons, one gun in a barn, two with ammunition buried in the backyard, and large empty 50-gallon drums hidden underground, alongside AR-style BB guns and numerous items related to identity theft.

“This operation is a prime example of successful multi-agency collaboration and teamwork,” said Sheriff Darren Weekly, as perDouglas County Sheriff’s Office, emphasizing the strength of joint law enforcement efforts the DCSO Patrol, IMPACT detectives, and Arapahoe County SIU were able to make the community safer by removing these dangerous drugs and firearms from our streets, with the fentanyl alone representing a substantial number of potentially lethal doses showcasing the serious threats these narcotics bring, as it stands, the investigation remains active with detectives following leads connected to this distribution network.
