GRESHAM, Ore. (DDN) – A pedestrian died in the hospital after being hit by a car in Gresham on Wednesday.
The crash occurred at midday in the 3800 block of NE Hogan Road.
According to Gresham Police, the victim was initially rushed to the hospital with what seemed to be a non-life-threatening leg injury.

According to investigators, the incident occurred at a very moderate speed, and the driver showed no signs of impairment. The motorist was charged with negligent driving “contributing to an accident involving a vulnerable user of a public way.”
On Thursday, police reported that the pedestrian had died in the hospital. The reason for death was not provided. The victim’s identity has not been revealed pending notification of family.
It’s unclear whether the driver will face any more charges. This case is still under investigation.
