Perigold to Open First Showroom in Houston’s Highland Village, Wayfair Broadens Retail Footprint

In the spring of 2025, Perigold, a premium home goods online retailer owned by Wayfair, plans to establish its first physical location in Houston’s Highland Village shopping district. According to a statement received by KHOU, the store would signal the brand’s move from online retail to a physical presence in the renowned shopping center, which has been a part of the community since 1957.

Perigold’s Global Head, Rebecca Ginns, sees this growth as a chance to connect with a market that is renowned for its thriving culture and high demand for high-end design. According to an interview with Furniture Today, Ginns said, “We are thrilled to announce the opening of our Houston storefront, further expanding Perigold’s presence in a market where we know there is a strong appetite for design and a lot of culture.” With a space of about 20,000 square feet, Perigold intends to allow clients to see its high-end furnishings, décor, and designer labels in person, which were previously only accessible online.

Perigold’s choice to locate in Highland Village emphasizes the center’s longstanding reputation for luxury, which has drawn Houston consumers for years with its more than 60 specialized stores and fine dining options. Perigold’s emphasis on quality and exclusivity is reflected in its location, where it is positioned amid other upscale stores.

Designers from across the country are eagerly awaiting the opening. “I’m thrilled to see Perigold open a physical location,” said Marie Flanigan, a longtime Perigold collaborator and Houston designer, “and Houston is the ideal location for it.” According to Furniture Today, her support is in line with the excitement in the city’s design scene, as many people are eager to see Perigold’s carefully chosen selection of high-end brands up close.
