, it’s about celebrating the city’s commercial corridors laden with local crafts, cuisines, and unique gifts that bolster both the economic and cultural fabric of the community. Initiatives like #ShopPHL underscore this emphasis on sustaining the livelihoods of Philadelphia’s artisans and merchants.

On November 30, the city will partake in Small Business Saturday, a nationwide endeavor urging citizens to shop small, according to the

city’s announcement.

Neighborhoods like Mount Airy and Manayunk will open their doors to invite shoppers to explore and enjoy local offerings.

A variety of events will offer something for everyone this holiday season. On November 23, NextFab hosts the “Miracle on American Street Holiday Gift Market” with over 80 vendors. Chestnut Hill’s “Holidays on the Hill” kicks off the same day with late-night shopping and festive activities, running through Christmas. From November 28 to December 24, LOVE Park will become a traditional German Christmas market with “Christmas Village,” bringing holiday charm to the city center.

As December arrives, Northern Liberties will host a tree lighting on December 3 and a holiday shopping stroll on December 14-15, featuring a visit from Santa. Meanwhile, Roxborough’s Pop-Up Market on December 6-7 will offer live music and street festivities, bringing the community together in celebration.
