, trash and recycling will not be collected on Thanksgiving Day. Collection for Thursday’s schedule will move to Friday, and Friday’s normal pickups will occur on Saturday. Additionally, both the 27th Ave and North Gateway transfer stations will be closed on both Thursday and Friday. The City’s Public Works Customer Contact Center will also be taking a break for the holiday. For book lovers, the Phoenix Public Library system will be closed on Thursday and Friday, but online services, including book drops and digital resources, will remain available 24/7.
