Pickett County Man Charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Minor After Multi-Agency Investigation

After a comprehensive investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) and local police, a man from Pickett County has been charged with sexually exploiting a juvenile. A 51-year-old man from Pall Mall named Wade Ellis Williams is accused of possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

According to WSMV, the investigation was started in April 2023 by the TBI’s Internet Crimes Against Children team and the office of the 13th Judicial District Attorney General Bryant Dunaway in response to a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding a cloud storage account that was purportedly containing CSAM. This account has been connected to Williams, a sex offender with a history of conviction. In July 2023, investigators searched his residence and found a number of electronic devices that they believed contained more than 100 CSAM files.
