Hello, Plymouth parents and young soccer players! The opportunity to compete in the Winter Cup Youth Soccer Tournament has made your winter vacation even more thrilling. The Plymouth Community Center Fieldhouse dome actually has you covered, so there’s no need to put up your cleats because it’s cold outside. U10 and U12 teams eager to keep the action going during the school break are welcome to participate in this indoor soccer bonanza, which takes place on December 26–27.
The U10 division is open to young athletes born in 2015–2016, and the U12 division is open to those born in 2013–2014. With both 7 vs. 7 and 8 vs. 8 matches on the schedule, there is a place for both boys and girls. The best part is that there will be plenty of playtime because each side is assured four games. Since there are only four teams each division, there aren’t many spaces, thus it’s essential to move quickly. Assemble your team of up to 14 people and prepare to sign up.
According to their website, Portsmouth’s Winter Cup Youth Soccer Tournament offers the following divisions for teams to register for:
- Girls U10 (7 vs. 7)
- Boys U10 (7 vs. 7)
- Girls U12 (8 vs. 8)
- Boys U12 (8 vs. 8)
For a reasonable $325, register your team rather than individual players. The cost may seem high, but it’s worth it for a good mix of competitiveness and teamwork. Please note that the registration deadline is Friday, December 6.
Please visit the official registration website if you would like more information or to reserve a slot for your team. Avoid letting the winter cold ruin your soccer plans by planning beforehand. This December, the Plymouth Community Center Fieldhouse dome is ready to get hot.
