WILDWOOD, N.J. – Two men from Cape May County are facing serious charges after being arrested this week in connection with an alleged sexual assault involving two juveniles.
Authorities identified the suspects as Arisandro Estrada-Tapia, 20, and Israel Estrada-Tapia, 18, both of Baker Avenue in Wildwood. They were taken into custody on Tuesday following a joint investigation by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Wildwood City Police Department.
According to a statement from Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Wildwood Police Chief Joseph Murphy, the charges are as follows:
Arisandro Estrada-Tapia: Two counts of sexual assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.
Israel Estrada-Tapia: One count of aggravated sexual assault, two counts of sexual assault, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Both men were taken to the Cape May County Correctional Center, where they remain in custody.
