According to thePortland Police Bureau, last Friday, just before midnight, Central Precinct officers were called to the scene on the 2600 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard, arriving to discover a male victim with severe neck injuries from an apparent stabbing.

The police, who provided immediate aid to the afflicted individual, also gathered information about the suspect, who had reportedly just exited the premises, and their prompt search led to an arrest within minutes, two blocks west of the location. The victim was subsequently rushed to the hospital by ambulance, and his injuries, while serious, are not expected to be fatal, with the man now under hospital care.
