Renowned for his ability to merge genres, Post Malone has formally announced his upcoming “Big Ass Stadium Tour,” which will include a show at Detroit’s Ford Field on May 18, 2025. According to the Detroit Free Press, he won’t be performing alone; singer-songwriter Sierra Ferrell and rapper-turned-country musician Jelly Roll will also be joining him.
According to the Detroit News, Citi cardholders can purchase tickets beginning at noon today, and tickets will go on sale via Ticketmaster at noon on Tuesday. Starting at 9 a.m. on Friday, fans of Post Malone can already sign up to try their luck at the presale tickets.
The tour will begin in Salt Lake City on April 29 and end in San Francisco on July 1, according to the Detroit Free Press. Since his first performance in Motor City in 2016, Post Malone has been gradually expanding the scale of the venues he plays in. His most recent performance in the Detroit area took place at Pine Knob Music Theatre in 2023.
It has taken a while for Jelly Roll to be added as a supporting act. According to a Detroit News article, Jelly Roll said, “I hope one day we come back and get to do it at Ford Field, baby,” at a prior performance in Detroit. Malone’s first-ever stadium tour showcases his range as a performer, as he moves from mumble rap to fusing country influences with his songs.
