Queens Nightclub Shooting Leaves 11 Wounded, Police Seek Suspects in White BMW and Infiniti Sedan

Several people were reportedly shot at the Amazura nightclub in Queens, New York, on Thursday early.

According to the Citizen app, six people were shot inside Amazura, and at least two more were shot at Sutphin Blvd and Archer Ave, bringing the total to eight.

Firefighters requested ten ambulances for shooting victims. Additionally, authorities requested that extra ambulances and cops be dispatched to the second floor of Amazura after confirming that all six gunshot victims were present.

Shortly after the eight gunshot victims were counted, police confirmed three more shooting victims at Jamaica Hospital, bringing the total number of wounded to 11.

Authorities have identified a white BMW as a possible suspect in the shootings and are continuing to investigate the occurrences.

Police have stopped the highways and widened the crime scene area, deploying all available units to Amazura and Sutphin Blvd. So far, investigators have discovered six shell casings near 91 Avenue and 144 Place, expanding the crime scene area. Furthermore, authorities are investigating a gray Infiniti Q50 sedan with New Jersey plates, which may be linked to the shooting occurrences.

The New York nightclub attack follows the terror incident in New Orleans on New Year’s Day. Early Wednesday morning, a car collided with numerous individuals in the Southern city’s famous French Quarter, where many were celebrating New Year’s Eve. The horrible incident on Bourbon Street resulted in 15 deaths and at least 30 injuries.

The FBI reported that Shamsud-Din Jabbar’s truck included an ISIS flag, a suspected improvised explosive device, and weapons. Shamsud was the driver who crashed his truck into a crowd on Bourbon Street at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday. Melania Trump, the wife of President-elect Donald Trump, discussed how today’s “violence” in New Orleans had “impacted” society.

“The episodes of violence that have occurred in our communities are profoundly troubling. “The brutality must end,” Melania wrote on X. “My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the families who are experiencing such profound grief and loss.”
