Rep. Glenn Grothman Re-Elected in Wisconsin’s 6th District Amidst Record Sheboygan County Turnout

Wisconsin’s 6th Congressional District has confirmed its representative for another term, with incumbent U.S. Rep. Glenn Grothman (R-Wisconsin) securing his position against Democratic opponent John Zarbano. As reported by FOX6Now, Grothman, a native of Thiensville and an alum of University of Wisconsin-Madison, has been a congressional figure since 2014.

The campaign for Grothman highlighted key issues such as manufacturing, and border security, tax reform, signaling a strong stance in traditional conservative values. Amidst the heat of the electoral battle, the topics became a cornerstone of his promise to the district—a district which, according to WHBL, showed a staggering 93% voter turnout in Sheboygan County, cementing his hold in an area where Republican support runs deep.

On the other side, Zarbano, a retired bank attorney and former box office manager at UW-Oshkosh Theatre Department, offered a different perspective. His background in teaching entertainment and hospitality law stood in contrast to Grothman’s political and legal experience. According to JSONline, Grothman’s victory over Zarbano solidifies his foothold in the district where he has represented since replacing Tom Petri in 2014.

With Sheboygan County’s significant turnout, the results also reflected on other Republican victories throughout the state. Senator Tammy Baldwin, despite the tide favoring Republican candidates, declared her win. Baldwin expressed her gratitude saying, “It is clear that the voters have spoken and our campaign has won”, and continued, “From the bottom of my heart, it is an honor to serve the people of Wisconsin”, as reported by WHBL. Other victories for the GOP in Sheboygan County included Republicans Dan Feyen, and Lindee Rae Brill claiming state legislative seats.
