A 20-year-old man, Jaxsyn Bunker, has been arrested on charges of murder following a fatal road rage shooting in Las Vegas. The incident occurred on October 29, 2023, when Bunker allegedly shot and killed 50-year-old Yilmaz Ogur during a confrontation on the road.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police responded to reports of gunfire near Escondido Street and Cactus Avenue, finding Ogur unresponsive in his vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head.
Police later determined the shooting resulted from a road rage altercation, where Ogur had been tailing Bunker’s vehicle. Witnesses reported seeing Bunker fire multiple shots at Ogur’s car before fleeing the scene.
Through investigation, police discovered that Bunker was already in custody on unrelated firearms charges. A breakthrough came when a woman revealed that Bunker had confessed to the shooting, detailing the incident as though it were a “trophy.” Bunker’s vehicle was identified, and evidence from text messages led police to link him directly to the crime.
Bunker has since been rebooked on an open murder charge and remains in custody as the investigation continues. The shocking incident highlights the dangers of road rage and has sent ripples through the Las Vegas community.
