Road rage shooting reported on I-94 in Detroit, state police say
Michigan State Police are investigating an alleged shooting on Interstate 94 in Detroit that was reported Tuesday.
A driver informed the soldiers that he was driving west on the freeway at around 2:55 p.m. and could not put a black vehicle in the right lane when it pulled in from the Gratiot ramp.
The driver reported that the vehicle “pulled up next to him in the center lane, pulled a pistol and fired on the passenger side of the car,” said the state police.
Neither the car nor the driver was hit, MSP reported.
The black vehicle continued west on I-94. No further description was available.
Soldiers blocked the westward lanes in Gratiot to look for evidence, but none were found, state police said.
The shooting took place four days after another alleged shooting on I-94 near Haggerty.
Authorities recently reported several other shootings on regional roads, including some that resulted from street traffic.
