Roadwork Alert, Enterprise Drive in Charlotte County to Close Nov 20-21 for Maintenance

A portion of Enterprise Drive will be temporarily closed next week, so drivers in Charlotte County should be ready for some roadwork delays. The county’s most recent traffic advisory states that this road closure will begin on Wednesday and go through Thursday.

In order to maintain the route in good condition for the daily flow of traffic, Market Circle will be closed for mill and overlay operations. According to the Charlotte County website, during this time, “advance warning signs and flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic,” but drivers may anticipate “intermittent, slow-moving traffic and/or temporary delays within the project area.”

To prevent the interruptions caused by the construction, public works authorities are urging people who typically use this route to think about taking a different route. When faced with such disruptions, rerouting is frequently a useful strategy to reduce traffic congestion and the effect on one’s regular commute.

If you need any additional information or direction on the subject, you can contact the Public Works department by calling (941) 575-3600. Additionally, anyone with questions about the roadwork or who wants to organize their commute can send an email to [email protected].
