A Rockford man has been charged with the murder of a 31-year-old male and the attempted murder of a 36-year-old male, police said. Following his arrest on November 5, Jones was identified as the alleged perpetrator of the April 13 shooting on the 4800 block of W. Arthington St. This violent incident claimed the life of one man and critically injured another. The detailed announcement of the charges came ahead of Jones’s scheduled detention hearing, which was to take place on the 7th of November at the courthouse located at 2600 S. California.
