SACRAMENTO, CA – A devastating fire in a Sacramento townhouse resulted in the tragic death of a juvenile and left two adults injured on Sunday morning. The fire occurred at a residence on the 6200 block of Greenhaven Drive, where emergency responders from the Sacramento Fire Department rushed to the scene.
Upon arrival, fire crews encountered a second-floor townhouse engulfed in flames. They quickly began efforts to put out the fire while simultaneously conducting a search for any individuals who might still be inside the apartment.
Tragically, during the search, firefighters discovered a juvenile who had been trapped in the blaze. Despite their efforts to revive the individual, the juvenile was pronounced dead at the scene. The fire department confirmed that two adults were also in the townhouse at the time of the fire. Both adults sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital, where they were reported to be in stable condition with minor-to-moderate injuries.
