San Diego Traffic Stop Uncovers Narcotics and Illegal Firearms in Family RV, Multiple Arrests Made

San Diego Police discovered a more serious discovery inside a generic RV during a routine traffic stop that went beyond simple infractions of the vehicle code. The San Diego Police Department said on social media that the interaction happened in early October when two officers on patrol in Central Division’s Golden Hill neighborhood spotted and stopped the car for multiple infractions.

What started out as routine quickly took a serious turn. After speaking with the driver, the authorities discovered evidence of drug use within the RV. Five people—three adults and two young children—were taken out of the car during the ensuing search, which produced a startling finding. During the course of the inquiry, a number of harmful medications were discovered, along with the equipment used to use, package, and sell them.

Their search also turned up a variety of illegal firearms, including AR-15 model rifles, handguns, and more lethal weapons, along with the ammo needed for each. Every adult within the RV was taken into custody on several felony charges.
