San Francisco Man Convicted for Sexual Assault of 15-Year-Old

A man was found guilty after a jury trial on several crimes related to the two-day sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl in 2021, according to San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins. According to the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, the announcement identified the convicted offender as 44-year-old Fredy Gomez-Orozco.

“I would like to thank the survivor for her courage and resilience,” said Jenkins. “I hope this decision aids in her recovery from these horrific experiences. My office will make every effort to guarantee that justice is done because we take these situations seriously. The San Francisco District Attorney’s Office claims that Gomez-Orozco molested and restrained the victim on October 2, 2021, while she was washing dishes at the kitchen sink. She hugged her from behind, groping her vagina and fondling her breasts, according to the evidence produced at trial.

The incident worsened the next day when Gomez-Orozco offered the youngster money for each embrace and then verbally and physically attacked her. After successfully fending him off, the young girl called her mother in the bathroom in an emergency, which prompted the San Francisco Police to record the event that evening. With the help of the San Francisco Police Department’s exceptional Special Victims Unit, which was essential in building a solid case against Gomez-Orozco, Assistant District Attorney Michele Brass and her team were able to pursue the case effectively.

“This case is a testament to the power and strength of the sexual assault survivor,” Brass stated after the conviction was obtained. “I want to thank the jurors for providing justice for the survivor who displayed tremendous courage in not only reporting this egregious conduct, but also throughout this long trial process.” She expressed her appreciation for the survivor and her mother’s perseverance during the struggle. According to the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, Gomez-Orozco is in detention pending a hearing on the aggravated elements that have been charged.
