Santa Clara Community Mourns 14-Year-Old’s Death, Police Investigating Possible Bullying

Tragedy struck the Santa Clara community last Tuesday when a 14-year-old boy’s life came to a sudden end due to an apparent suicide. The Santa Clara Police Department officers hurried to the 3400 block of The Alameda around 11:30 p.m. after the report came in, according to a news release from the

.

Upon arrival, Santa Clara Fire Department’s emergency crews were already trying their best to save the juvenile, who has not been named due to his age. The efforts by the first responders did not lead to a revival, with the boy pronounced dead at 11:36 p.m., basically mere minutes before they arrived. Detectives are now piecing together the events that led to his death, considering factors like bullying that might shed light on what drove the young individual to such a desperate act.

As is standard in such cases, the police have made it clear their initial findings suggest no foul play was involved. Nevertheless, the investigation is very open, indicating that the quest for understanding continues.

The SCPD is actively seeking information and has encouraged anyone who may know something to contact Detective Sergeant Hagg by calling 408-615-4823 or by emailing
