A significant psilocybin mushroom production operation was discovered during a series of law enforcement raids, which resulted in the arrest of two Santa Rosa residents. According to the Santa Rosa Police Department, its narcotics unit began an investigation in October and arrested Jose Reyes Jr., 26, and Travis Troxell, 38, on suspicion of cultivating and selling the restricted substance. The detectives carried out many search warrants in the region, according to the Santa Rosa Police, and discovered guns and other illicit objects in addition to psilocybin mushrooms.
Troxell was arrested in his car on Petaluma’s Old Redwood Highway yesterday, marking the start of the searches. The scope of the drug operation was exposed when illegally manufactured weapons, MDMA, LSD, and a money counter were found during the ensuing searches of locations connected to the accused. Law enforcement found about 10,000 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms in different stages of cultivation in warehouses located in the 1300 block of Ross Street in Petaluma, which seems to be the main focus of the operation. As a result, Reyes and Troxell are currently being charged with a number of offenses, including illicit drug trafficking and weapons ownership.
