Scott County’s Cleary Lake Regional Park Invites Community to Explore Holiday Traditions on December 7th

A historical exploration of December customs is available at Cleary Lake Regional Park. On Saturday, December 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., historical interpreters in the park will walk visitors through the beginnings of several customs for those interested in the evolution of the holidays. Participants will have the opportunity to spin a dreidel, make predictions about their fortunes for the upcoming year, and make original decorations to commemorate the occasion, according to a Scott County notice.

Reservations are currently being accepted for those who want to use historical exploration to enhance their present holiday festivities.Reservations must be made four days prior to the event and can be made by calling 763-559-6700, according to the Scott County website. Additionally, groups of four or more can receive a 20% discount if they wish to join in on the holiday happiness right away.

With a focus on group participation, this program is open to people of all ages and is intended to be family-friendly. It offers a reasonably priced opportunity to interact with the community and discover the different traditions that influence the holiday experiences, all for a small fee of $6.
