Seattle is currently on alert as a series of robberies struck businesses in various neighborhoods this morning. According to theSeattle Police Department’s blog, armed individuals in face masks and dark clothing raided gas stations and convenience stores spanning from Georgetown to West Seattle. During these incidents, the perpetrators menacingly displayed firearms at store employees, coercing them to hand over cash and merchandise.

While the witnesses continue to provide essential details, Seattle Police have recovered a blue Kia sedan on 16th Avenue South and East Marginal Way South that might have been involved. The vehicle was discovered, damaged, and abandoned, with signs indicating it to be an unreported stolen car. Authorities are looking to quickly gather and process evidence from the sedan as they start to comprehensively investigate.

No physical injuries have been reported in the wake of the criminal spree, but the distressing nature of these robberies has surely left unseen scars within the community. Seattle Police Robbery Unit Detectives have already assumed jurisdiction over the investigation, but the suspects remain unidentified and on the run at this juncture.
