The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) has taken into custody a second individual in connection to a recent homicide in the city’s Seventh District. The NOPD announced the arrest today of 18-year-old Diamond Ebbs, who was apprehended in St. Tammany Parish, as reported in an article published by

. Ebbs is currently awaiting extradition to New Orleans to face charges.
The arrest follows that of 19-year-old Mekhai Pierce, who was apprehended last Thursday, October 31, in New Orleans. Pierce is currently held at the Orleans Justice Center. Both suspects are facing second-degree murder charges for their alleged involvement in the fatal shooting of 36-year-old Manuel Jones. Jones was killed in the 4700 block of Bonita Drive on October 21.
