Just before 1 a.m. on Saturday, Austin Travis County EMS responded to a car rescue near the 10,000 block of Menchaca Road. According to a CBS Austin report, one person trapped in the debris needed to be freed and was later classified as a trauma alert by the emergency services that responded.
Seven persons were injured in all, with one adult suffering significant injuries that required immediate evacuation to St. David’s South Austin hospital. With severe injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, another adult was also sent to the hospital. Additionally, according to MSN, two adults and two children were treated for minor injuries at the same hospital.
