TAMPA, Fla. (DDN) – Hillsborough County deputies say they’ve detained two people after a 911 caller reported hearing gunfire near the 5800 block of Memorial Highway in Tampa early Sunday morning.
When deputies arrived, they say they stormed the front door to the house, where neighbors believe they heard gunshots after no one replied.
One male, two women, and two children were discovered unhurt in the residence.
While officers were on the scene, a nearby resident reported discovering a bullet hole in their window. It was then revealed that the bullet had passed through their living room wall.

One man and a one-year-old child were discovered unharmed inside.
Faith Thomas, 26, and Donald Roberts, 28, were detained after officers discovered they were involved in a domestic violence incident.
Thomas informed deputies that he discharged the gun from the balcony in an attempt to convince Roberts to leave.
Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister believes that using guns is never the solution, especially when innocent lives are jeopardized.
“I’m glad our deputies were able to quickly respond and make the necessary arrests,” says Chronister. “While domestic violence is never okay, discharging a firearm endangers other innocent lives and is never an acceptable solution.”
HCSO is investigating the incident.
