CHARLOTTE, N.C. (DDN) – Police arrested two additional suspects in the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old in August 2024.

Jaylon Reaves, 20, and Tyquan Paige, 18, were arrested in South Carolina in connection with the death of Aryan Jaswel, 17. Reaves was detained in Mullins, South Carolina. Paige was arrested in Horry County, South Carolina.

They both face charges of murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to conduct robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Three people have been arrested in connection with Jaswel’s death. In October, a 16-year-old was charged without being identified. The sixteen-year-old was apprehended in Conway, South Carolina.

Several agencies, including Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, responded to a welfare check at an apartment complex on Wynhollow Downs Lane, near the intersection of Ballantyne Commons Parkway and Lancaster Highway, approximately 8 a.m. on August 13. Jaswal was pronounced deceased on the scene.

When the detectives arrived, Singh was reported to be sleeping in his car. Officers swiftly discovered that he had been shot.

“This is a very quiet apartment complex,” cops reported. “It’s very unusual for us to have a crime like this out here.”
