Spencer Island Restoration Plans Progress with Public Workshop in Everett on December 5

As the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) gets ready to provide the public with an update this December, the restoration work on Spencer Island in Snohomish County is moving forward. According to a recent release, a major restoration project is under progress with the goal of revitalizing a portion of the river delta that underwent significant alterations due to agricultural growth in the early 20th century.

WDFW is hosting a public meeting with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) and Snohomish County Parks to provide the most recent design concepts and talk about the recreational implications. The meeting is scheduled for December 5 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Weyerhaeuser Room on the fourth floor of the Everett Transit Station, which is situated at 3201 Smith Avenue in Everett.
