Springfield Juvenile Arrested After Allegedly Striking Officer With Stolen Car on Boston Road

A juvenile was arrested by Springfield Police after he allegedly used a stolen vehicle to strike an officer. The incident, which occurred around 11:35 a.m. last Saturday on Boston Road, involved a car reported stolen two days prior. When officers attempted a traffic stop, the 16-year-old driver reversed the vehicle, hitting an officer in the arm and nearly hitting two others, according toSpringfield Police Departmentstatement.

Officers located the stolen Hyundai at a gas station, with the vehicle’s engine running and four individuals inside.
