Staten Island Crips Gang Member Justin Dixon Pleads Guilty to Minor Coercion and Weapons Charges Amid Brooklyn Sex Trade Crackdown

Yesterday, Justin Dixon, a member of the Staten Island Crips gang, entered a guilty plea on charges of coercion, enticement of a minor, and being a felon in possession of a firearm. The conviction is part of a broader crackdown on criminal activity in the Brooklyn area, specifically at a known sex trade hotspot referred to as “Penn Track,” according to theU.S. Attorney’s Office release. This area in East New York is notoriously regarded for its illicit activities, including the commercial sexual exploitation of minors.

In the proceedings, presided over by United States District Judge William F. Kuntz II, Dixon admitted to using force and intimidation to control a 14-year-old girl and other women, compelling them into prostitution. It s reported that the victims were stripped of their earnings, which were turned over to Dixon.

The crimes detailed in the court filings, as initiallypublished by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, Dixon used social media and other online platforms to lure and manipulate victims. Federal prosecutors revealed that the minor victim, known as Jane Doe, was forced into domestic servitude, violence, and psychological control.

United States Attorney Breon Peace, addressing the gravity of the situation, stated, The Penn Track is a blight on our district, and predators like the defendant who operate there are going to be held accountable by my Office and our law enforcement partners for their ruthless exploitation of women and minors. FBI Assistant Director James E. Dennehy stated that the FBI will continue to target predators who exploit innocent people for financial gain, as mentioned in thesame release.
