Stolen U-Haul Stopped After 100 MPH Chase in Wisconsin, Two Women Arrested in Pleasant Prairie

PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. (DDN) – In January, law enforcement apprehended a woman from Florida and another from Wisconsin after they evaded police in a stolen U-Haul, reaching speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour.

In a video from the Pleasant Prairie Police Department, a video shows the truck fleeing police, resulting in an extended pursuit that occurred on January 14, 2025. The pursuit involved collaboration between the Racine County Sheriff’s Office and the Wisconsin State Patrol.

Officers effectively deployed stop-sticks, resulting in the safe cessation of the truck’s movement.

Authorities apprehended two women without incident, one hailing from Florida and the other from Cudahy, Wisconsin. Alongside the arrests, authorities confiscated a firearm. The driver is presently confronted with multiple felony charges:

  • Fleeing
  • Reckless endangerment
  • Operating a stolen vehicle
