LOS ANGELES, Cali. (DDN) – A tragic hit-and-run incident linked to a suspected street racing driver resulted in the death of a woman on Saturday night, as reported by the Los Angeles Police Department.
At approximately 10 p.m., an event took place in the vicinity of Normandie Avenue and 66th Street in South L.A. Authorities assert that the operators of a grey Dodge Charger and a dark Chevrolet Tahoe were engaged in street racing as they headed south on Normandie.
A woman was struck by the driver of a grey Charger while crossing Normandie outside of an unmarked crosswalk.

The driver of the Charger left the scene following the incident.
An unidentified woman was declared deceased at a nearby hospital on Sunday afternoon.
The LAPD is currently looking to identify the driver of the Charger. The city of L.A. has established a program that offers a reward of up to $50,000 for individuals who can share information that results in identifying, apprehending, and convicting the offender or reaching a civil resolution.
