Suisun City Man Charged With Assault After Alleged Stabbing on Main Street

One man was hurt in an alleged stabbing on Main Street last Friday in Suisun City when a disagreement between two people turned violent. According to the Suisun City Police Department, the victim—who has not been named—suffered serious injuries.

A woman called the dispatch at approximately 5:33 p.m. to report that her husband had been attacked, according to a social media post from the Suisun City Police Department. When police swiftly arrived at the 700 block of Main Street, they discovered a man victim who seemed to have been stabbed. To stop the bleeding, first responders promptly applied a tourniquet.

Despite his severe injuries, the victim was thankfully in a position to tell the authorities who had attacked him. Suisun City resident Ricardo Ortiz, 66, was the suspect that the responding officers were able to track down and capture. At the scene, the weapon thought to have been used in the assault was discovered and confiscated as evidence.

After receiving medical attention beside the victim, Ortiz was taken to the Solano County Jail. The man was charged with assault with a deadly weapon after the event.
