Suspect Apprehended in White Settlement Through Collaborative Police Effort

A joint operation between local police departments and the FBI has resulted in the arrest of a suspect wanted by the Arlington Police Department for an attempted purchase of a handgun. In a statement posted to theWhite Settlement Police Department’s Facebook page, law enforcement detailed the suspect’s apprehension on Thursday, marking the culmination of a week-long search.

The arrest occurred after Officer Wesley Gregory spotted the suspect attempting to leave a residence along White Settlement Road and N hastily. Las Vegas Trail. With the support of fellow law enforcement, including Corporal Jonathan Russell, the suspect was detained without incident. This successful coordination began when the Arlington Police Department informed the White Settlement team about the FBI’s notification of the suspect’s handgun purchase attempt within their jurisdiction.

White Settlement Police carefully planned the suspect’s arrest, identifying their likely residence. Sgt. Lana Cook’s team prepared strategies to catch the suspect returning home or leaving. Although the suspect wasn t found immediately last Friday or the days after, the officers’ persistence paid off, leading to a successful arrest.
