SUV and Electric Scooter Crash in Las Vegas Central Valley Sends Pedestrian to Hospital

LAS VEGAS (DDN) – A Las Vegas man is in serious condition following a collision between an electric scooter and an SUV in the Central Valley.

It occurred Friday after 2:30 p.m. along Karen Avenue and Joe W. Brown, between Paradise Road and Sahara Avenue.

Las Vegas Metro police reported that a 2015 Toyota 4Runner was going westbound on Karen Avenue, nearing the junction with Joe W. Brown Drive, and ready to turn left on a flashing yellow arrow.

Police reported that a pedestrian riding a Kukirin G4 Electric Scooter was heading westbound on Karen Avenue on the right of two travel lanes. The Toyota began making a left turn as the pedestrian approached the junction. Police say the pedestrian collided with the right side of the Toyota.

The pedestrian was sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Toyota remained on the scene of the accident.
