FORT WORTH, Tex. (DDN) – After concluding that a woman purposefully caused an SUV to crash in a probable instance of domestic violence, the Fort Worth police department is conducting a homicide investigation into a tragic collision that resulted in serious injuries.
According to the police, the collision between two vehicles took place on Saturday, February 15, at approximately 12:45 p.m. in the 3400 block of Northeast 28th Street. In the incident, an SUV collided with a light pole, according to the police.
According to a report filed by the Fort Worth police department, the collision resulted in the death of one individual, who has not yet been made publically known, and the injury of another individual.

Officers said on Monday that they had taken into custody a suspect who they believe was responsible for the accident that occurred with the victim’s SUV. According to the police, the suspect and the deceased victim were “in a dating relationship” at the time of the incident.
Emily Garcia, who is 29 years old and a resident of Fort Worth, was taken into custody on Monday afternoon, according to the police report and the records of the jail. She is currently being held on a charge of murder.
