Teen Suspect Wanted for Capital Murder Following Deadly Shooting in Rockdale

One person was killed and another injured in a shooting that happened over the weekend in Rockdale, Texas, sparking a manhunt for a teenage suspect. When Rockdale Police arrived at a home on East 4th Street on Saturday night in response to gunfire reports, they found 20-year-old Trevor Everage suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to CBS Austin. Christopher Flores, a 22-year-old victim who was also shot, passed away soon after his injuries.

The two injured were transported to Rockdale Airport immediately in order to be evacuated to Temple’s Scott & White Medical Center. Flores was declared deceased by officials at the airport. The victims were the target of what appeared to be a premeditated armed robbery gone wrong, according to preliminary evidence, according to the police. Jonah Flores, 16, has been promptly charged with capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant.

The identity of the two victims and the fact that the incident was a targeted attack were confirmed in a different report published by KBTX. As they continue to piece together the series of events leading up to this sad incident, officials have issued arrest warrants for the aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and capital murder of an anonymous 16-year-old who has been implicated.

To help apprehend the suspected juvenile offender, law enforcement is urging anyone with relevant information to come forward. The lines of contact are Rockdale Police Lieutenant Michael Hubnik and Captain Goodrich; Milam County Crime Stoppers offers anonymity choices. The community is currently holding its breath as justice is sought to be administered as quickly and confidently as possible.
