GARDEN CITY, Mich. (DDN) – A cross-county police chase resulted in the arrest of several teens who allegedly drove as fast as 120 mph during the pursuit.
According to police, the chase began when they noticed a stolen Cadillac on Venoy in Garden City, occupied by five adolescents.
The chase extended 20 miles, beginning shortly after 2 a.m. on Wednesday and finishing on Detroit’s east side.
The vehicle rushed through several areas on Detroit’s east side until the youngsters bailed out at Blue Hill and Denver, then sprinted down Denver, attempting to reach Cadieux.
But, unfortunately for them, that’s where the cops found them.
“As soon as you leave Blue Hill, there’s a police station right there, so it was the wrong way to go,” homeowner Thomas Pardo explained.
Pardo says he is not surprised to learn that a police chase ended on his street, since these types of incidents are becoming all too regular.
Fortunately, there were no injuries recorded. The five teenagers were apprehended, and Garden City police have not commented on the chase.
