Teenager charged with robbery at a Stoughton convenience store

STOUGHTON, Mass. – A 16-year-old boy has been charged in connection with a robbery at a convenience store last week.

According to the Stoughton Police Department, officers were dispatched to a store at 257 School Street on July 18th at 3:19 p.m. to investigate an armed robbery report. The suspect was described as a man dressed in all black who displayed a handgun, demanded money from the register, and most likely fled on a bike. Following the investigation, the suspect was identified as a 16-year-old boy.

The 16-year-old was arrested without incident on Monday and charged with armed and masked robbery. He will face charges at a later date.

“Thanks to the hard work of Stoughton Police Officers & Detectives and our cooperating partners in law enforcement, this violent gun crime was solved quickly and without violence,” reported Chief McNamara. “We have a suspect in custody who is getting the assistance he requires. Our pursuit of justice did not result in any harm to innocent victims or the suspect. That is a job well done.”
