The barbershop staff stated that the youngster was hurt as a result of the event and is currently recovering in the hospital.
The youngster was pushed into the massage parlor next door when the automobile entered the strip center in Houston after passing through the church’s front entrance. The driver of the SUV, a 61-year-old man, plowed through four inside walls before coming to a halt in a gun shop.
The strip mall’s owner, Joseph Rothchild, claims he spoke with the driver, who stated he had just returned from dialysis treatment before the crash.
“He said he remembered backing up, and he remembered going forward, but after that, he just remembered waking up in the space,” Rothchild told me.
According to Rothchild, 25 individuals were in the barbershop when the tragedy occurred, and a woman at a nearby clothes shop was rushed to the hospital due to her injuries.
Police say the 10-year-old child had internal bleeding, and specifics of the injured woman in the clothes shop are unknown.
There have been no fatalities reported, while additional people have had non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities. According to the Independent, barber Chez Robertson stated: “It was simply a usual Saturday of cutting. I finished with my client and was about to put my 10-year-old in the chair.
“The child is doing considerably better and is currently recovering in the ICU. I just ask that you all continue to pray for the little man. He’s a wonderful kid who enjoys talking trash with his barber. “He’s also funny!”
Darrick Brown, the shop’s owner, told Fox San Antonio, “It was insane, man. I was rattled up when I turned, man. I was thinking, ’cause it’s like the kid simply vanished.
“I do not know. “It’s just one of those things, man.”
