Thousand Oaks Police Cite Delivery Drivers from State-Licensed Dispensaries for Local Permit Violations

The Directed Enforcement Unit (DEU) of the Thousand Oaks Police Department cited three adult male delivery drivers on November 20 as part of a recent crackdown on illegally run marijuana delivery firms. It was discovered that the drivers, who worked for state-licensed dispensaries, had broken city ordinances that required a local authorization in order to deliver within the Thousand Oaks municipality. According to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, the operation was initiated because of worries that the illegal cannabis trade was intruding into the city’s territory.

The Vault, which is situated at 22815 Ventura Blvd., Woodland Hills; Atrium, which is located at 5441 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Woodland Hills; and Elevate, which is situated at 20010 Ventura Blvd., Woodland Hills, are among the companies mentioned in the official news release. The cops used a marked patrol vehicle to approach the delivery drivers and carry out the sting operation. Since the mentioned deliveries were made without a permission, the drivers were cited after it was revealed that they lacked the required Thousand Oaks permit.

To ensure their confidentiality, anyone with information that could help law enforcement is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office at (805) 654-9511. Additionally, Ventura County Crime Stoppers has offered a reward of up to $1,000 for information that results in the arrest and filing of a criminal complaint against anyone who commit these offenses.

According to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, residents who would like to provide any relevant information on such illegal activities can do so anonymously and are guaranteed that their calls will not be recorded. The tip line for Crime Stoppers can be reached at 800-222-TIPS (8477).
