Three Wounded in Shooting Outside Methodist South Hospital in Whitehaven, Memphis Community Shaken

A triple shooting erupted outside Methodist South Hospital in Whitehaven last night, leaving three people wounded and the medical facility briefly placed under lockdown. As per the report by

Action News 5

, the chaos ensued around 9:53 p.m. when Memphis Police Department officers responded to a shooting at the hospital’s front gate.

Two victims are fighting for their lives in critical condition, while the third sustains less severe injuries.

WREG

disclosed that two of the shot individuals arrived by private vehicle at the medical center.

Adding layers to the narrative,

FOX13 Memphis

detailed the statements of several victims tied to the originating violence on Bogart Drive. A woman recounted a cookout interrupted by gunshots from a dark-colored SUV, leaving her with a wounded hand, and another man reported being struck in his hand while sitting in his car. Another person was grazed by a bullet in the neck, narrowly escaping death. Homes and vehicles in the area were also damaged, marked by bullet holes.

Police are currently untangling the threads, believing that these eruptions of gunfire are connected, as the shooting at the front gate is correlated to the formerly Bogart Drive shootout.
